ATOM — Distributed Multimodal AI Assistant
A local-first AI system I'm building that combines LLMs, computer vision, speech recognition, text-to-speech, memory, and multi-device computing. ATOM dynamically routes tasks between a Kali Linux desktop and an RTX-powered AI node, recognizes enrolled faces, processes camera and microphone input, selects different AI models based on task complexity, and automatically falls back to local inference when another node is unavailable.
Kali Linux Desktop handles input capture & device coordination • RTX Laptop handles heavy AI workloads (computer vision, speech recognition, reasoning, and audio classification).
